Bill Dolton, Apple Distinguished Educator http://www.williamdolton.com Integration of Software/Tool
Intermediate Level
Harness the power of the software already on your students' MacBook laptops to capture, coordinate, and creatively communicate concepts in the Language Arts classroom. Learn features and tips for Photo Booth, Safari, iPhoto, GarageBand, iMovie, Keynote and other Mac applications to quickly and easily integrate web resources and student work into projects that allow students to focus more on understanding concepts than the complexities of disparate applications. We will do a hands-on simulation of a project using a combination of applications and discuss application potential with your students. No experience necessary!
Session Variations
Teachers are welcome to attend one or more of these sessions. Each session will begin in a similar fashion, but each subsequent session will involve a different set of Mac applications in the iLife and iWork suites (indicated below). Repeat participants will be able to follow along to review and consolidate initial strategies and/or explore additional Language Arts links provided while working in parallel on the respective applications.
Session bloggers may use the sections below to record notes. This will leave the rest of the wiki page intact for session participants to follow along during the session.
